Workshops: Sharing Stories (Event Description)
From January 2018 to June 2019 there were 257 stories published on the contributive web platform of the Afro-European Narratives project. Many of these stories were produced in the context of the workshops organised by the project team and partners, working with other organisations, namely schools and cultural associations.
In this digital archive, you can find stories in several languages (Portuguese, English, French, German, Spanish and Creole) and also stories that use a diversity of media (text, illustration, photography, video, sound and music).
From the Day of Africa 2018 to the Day of Africa 2019, the Afro-European Narratives Project fostered two sets of Prizes to distinguish the best stories published on its web portal: the Afropean Awards, within the scope of the projects proponent country (Portugal) and the BEST African-European Narrative within the range of the projects official participant countries (Portugal, France and Germany). The winning author in each of these countries had the opportunity to come to the closing event 2019, in Lisbon.
